Sorry to bump so might get carded but I actually bought a Lexus IS 250 in the end and I absolutely love it !!!
Lot's of boys toys
Beautiful interior & body work powerful yet smooth.
Love it.

Been driving a Lexus for 8 years.
Current RX400h has done 120k miles of which I added 60k in the last 4 years. Not a single fault with it.
And the customer service at the dealership is excellent.

I've just sold my S Type which I've had for years and I loved the comfort but I think it will be a Lexus !!

Far better reliability and repair record...
Also Lexus keeps its value better than BMW ...Mercedes...
is 350...absolute beast acceleration and roadholding..

Spandex. Depends which of the two gospel reports you are reading. :-) They tell entirely different stories and only one mentions the donkey ride to Bethlehem. Only one mentions the trip to Egypt too. :-)

The depreciation on big luxury cars is insane, you can get 7 series BMW's for a few grand, cars that were 50 -70k new.

I love big old cars to waft around in... had a lovely XJR and would really like to get a good '80s Merc 560SEC as a keeper... they have finally reached the 'investment' stage now if you can find a good one.

My old man has always been sensible with cars even though he has a few quid and then suddenly last year bought one of those big lexus things.
I've zero interest in cars so don't know the model, but he absolutely bloody loves it.

I once paid 700 notes for a Lexus LS400, done nearly 200,000 miles and it was fucking unreal. I have actually driven a roller (okay an 80's silver spur or whatever) and the Lexus was better.
I just needed a car to ponce about in for a few months, sold it for 750 notes when I did. It's worth having one just to waft about in!
